Calling a shopping cart a trolley is my favorite. Do they by chance call a flashlight a torch? My Tanzanian roomate used to say that.
In context of the post, I award you 10 bonus points for saying soda instead of pop.
I love this list! The funny thing is I have so many European friends that I use a lot of these words now! I use: biscuit, rubbish bin, juice (because that's what they call it in French in Congo), film, cinema, holiday, fancy, posh, queue, football, and flat! I love how girls "fancy" a boy rather than "like" him and there's just something nice about going on "holiday" rather than on "vacation." But I still can't get over the use of "pudding" as a generic term for dessert or "tea" to mean "dinner." Those crazy Brits.
